About us . . . The jewelry artist of Silver Pony Designs is Lesley Martin. Lesley grew up in Western Washington and moved to central Idaho in the early 2000’s. Lesley has been involved in the horse industry and real estate industry for most of her adult life. She also was involved in designing and making dried and artificial flower arrangements, wreaths and other decorator items – working for some large home builders in Western Washington, decorating model condominium units and model homes. Being in the Real Estate industry and working with home builders sparked her interest in being a home builder herself. As a home builder Lesley really came to realize just how much she loved to design and use colors. The days of working in that industry have passed. After being idle for a couple of years, not being creative, Lesley decided that she would dive into being a jewelry artist, something that she had thought about doing in the past. Now she is able to use her natural design skills again and loves working with all the beautiful colors of the semi-precious gem world. She especially has enjoyed learning to work with the Fine Silver, designing and making her works of art. Lesley now lives with her husband George and their two horses and 4 cats, out in the middle of beautiful, central Idaho. They enjoy the warm summers and snowy winters and are only 40 minutes from Sun Valley, where their only son, Chad lives.
